Assistance
  • I provide individualized instructional support with college-level reading and writing for students who are low-income, first-generation, and/or have a documented disability. My approach is grounded in research-based pedagogical practices that draw from principles of universal design, multimodality, and multicultural education in order to be inclusive of diverse student identities and learning styles.
  • I specifically assist students with: developing critical reading skills and rhetorical writing strategies across a variety of subject-areas, research and informational literacy skills, WEPT preparation, 99T fulfillment, graduate school applications, résumé writing, and scholarship essays.
  • I also serve as a mentor to students, and strive to create a supportive environment where they can take intellectual risks. In addition to referring students to resources on campus, I can also assist them in advocating for their individual academic needs.
