OVPSA Welcomes Edie Brown

January 10, 2020
Please join me in welcoming Edie Brown as our new Student Affairs Programs Coordinator in the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs. Edie will be working with Dr. Laura Monje-Paulson to develop and implement training and assessment programs designed for students and staff in the Division of Student Affairs.  Edie will be fundamental as we advance our professional competencies and create a culture where all members can thrive. Edie comes to us from The Advising Center where she spent the past 18 years working with various student populations ensuring their success at the university through many different avenues within the campus community.  Edie brings with her a wealth of experience in the areas of advising, retention, building campus partnerships, policy development and implementation and a deep understanding and commitment to our students and their experience.

Edie is excited to continue to support students in this new role and transforming their experience at SSU.  Edie grew up in San Francisco and Monterey, and moved to Santa Rosa to complete her education.  She received her Bachelor’s Degree from Sonoma State University in Psychology and her Master’s of Science in Counseling Degree from San Francisco State University.  In her free time Edie plays pool on two local pool leagues and spends time with her family, Dan, James and Matthew, and Bear.

We are so pleased to have Edie join us on the 3rd floor of the Student Center in the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs and look forward to all she will do!
