We are happy to announce that Shelbi Long will be joining the Division of Student Affairs as the Director of Campus Recreation on April 15, 2019.
Shelbi joins us from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona (CPP), where she served as the Associate Director for Campus Recreation. Shelbi joined Cal Poly Pomona in 2007 as the Recreation Coordinator after spending three years as the Assistant Director of Campus Recreation at Penn State University, Altoona. She brings over eighteen years of combined experience in the field of campus recreation.
Shelbi received a bachelor’s degree in Health and Physical Education with an emphasis in Sports Administration and a master’s degree in Liberal Arts from Lock Haven University in Lock Haven, PA. She presently serves on a variety of National Intramural Recreation Sports Association (NIRSA) committees, including a previous role as the So Cal State Director. In her free time, Shelbi enjoys being active, exploring local sites with friends, and spending time with her wife Jami and dog Baxter.
